Nude Dots

Hey everyone,

I feel very happy about my nails today, I tried do do a nude nail french tip thing with dots.

I am going to make this quick because my computer is dying and for some reason the power jack isn't working so this might be my last post for a while.

Tools:

  • Color Club: Nomadic in Nude
  • Color Club: Earthy Angel
  • Kleancolor: White
  • MASH dotting tool

The following pictures are with regular indoor light and the other with florescent light.

First I applied the base colour which was Nomadic in Nude. I didn't realize how streaky it was until I was done, but it's not noticeable.

I then I added the white dots using my small dotting tool at the top of my nails.

I then added the brown dots using Earthy Angel at the top of my nail yet again filling in some of the spaces, making it a more defined looking tip.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Ta-ta for now,
Kelly-Ann.

Red-ical Gypsy

HEllo again for the day,

I finally did the last swatch from the BOHO collection by Color Club. This colour is called Red-ical Gypsy. So later in the week I'll just do a collective post of all the colours.

WARNING!!!
I am horrible at cleaning up red nail polish. Beware may cause nail polish nightmares.

This was inside with just my very dim lamp.

This photo was taken outside in the daylight so You can see what it looks like in natural light. Reminds me a bit of blood. A little too dark for my taste. I suck at cleaning up red anyway.

Again I'd like to remind you of my first GIVEAWAY!
Be sure to enter for a chance to win this great prize.

See you next time!
Kelly-Ann.

Shabby Drab & other news

Hi peoples,

I am so sorry I haven't been here in a few days, I promise I have a very good reason. I had exams, today was my last day, so I was busy. My nails have been naked for a few days now, also I had gone to a crawfish boil and picking those crawfish broke my thumbnail...again. I also burned my middle finger on the oven when I was making some Jerk Chicken for a pot luck.

I have also signed up on BlogLovin so you can now also follow me that way.
Follow my blog with Bloglovin

But on to other news... I have a swatch for you tonight and also during the week, hopefully tomorrow I will be able to do a video showing you what I got recently and presenting my contest, hopefully to draw in more readers.

Her is the swatch...
IT is Shabby Drab by Color Club from the BOHO collection.

This is a nice colour, but personally I prefer nudes. It is a very light purple almost pastel like.

This is kind of what the colour looks like out in day light, very pretty. (sorry for the bad picture. got lazy.)

Anyway thats it for now.

See you tomorrow,
Kelly-Ann.

Earthy Angel + Future Contest

Hey everyone,

As promised here is the next swatch from the Color Club BOHO collection called Earthy Angel, which is a lovely nude colour, a little darker than the other I had done before, I suppose that's why they called it Earthy Angel rather than nude :p.

I love this colour, always love browns.

In further news, at the end of next week I will be hosting my first contest it will be USA only, or anyone with a US address for me to send the prize to. During the weekend I will be showing you what the prizes will be.

Spring Challenge 5: Rainbow

Howdy ladies,

Tonight I am a few mins late but it is done and I do like the way it turned out and I hope you do as well. Spring Challenge 5 Rainbow.

Tools:
  • Simple Pleasures: Purple
  • JLB: NL 01
  • BB Paris: Key Lime Pie
  • Sinful Colors: Hazard
  • Color Club: New Bohemian
  • Gems
  • MASH nail brush

Here it is...

First I chose my base colours that were colours from the rainbow.

I then used a brush to add t triangle to the edge in an attempt to make it look like the colours are leading from one nail to the other.

I then added some gems to the tip of the triangle to give it some pizzazz .. hope I pulled it off.

That's all folks I hope you liked what I came up with.

Don't forget to check out the others particpating in the challenge as well:

See you later,
Look out for the swatch I'll post tomorrow in the day (today),
Kelly-Ann.

New Bohemian

Hey everyone,

I'm at polish number 3 in the Color Club Boho collection. This one is a beautiful minty colour which has really grown on me, called New Bohemian.

It went on a little streaky and it took 3 coats to get complete coverage, but still love the colour.

See you later for the last of the Spring Challenge,
Kelly-Ann.

Spring Challenge 4: Bugs! (Yucky!)

Hello peoples,

UGH! i'm like an hour late. But anyway here it is. It is not what I wanted it to be. :-( It was extremely messy and it was my first time working with this glue and glitter, first attempt=FAIL! The color scheme I chose was blue and purple.

Tools:

  • Simple Pleasures: purple
  • Color Club: Trippie Hippie
  • Recollections glitter: Peacock
  • MASH fan brush
  • Best Glue Ever
  • Bundle Monster: Gems

For the base colour I used the Simple Pleasures purple polish. It is a very nice and smooth polish but the brush that it comes with is the worst thing ever, so if you do buy this set or brand, I would advise to buy a brush to use with it or borrow one from an old bottle, just avoid using the brush it came with, however I did work with it, took some patience but it worked.

I used the Color Club's Trippie Hippie to sponge on to create a gradient (attempted to make a gradient). Then I used the Best Glue Ever to try and draw on my creepy crawlies, and then sprinkle the glitter on and lightly use the fan brush to brush away the excess. I do think I went a little too heavy on the glue because I ended up brushing the glue and glitter and scrambling it up. (Pictures of the creepy crawlies are below saying what they were supposed to be.)

I added some gems by Bundle Monster.

This is the finished product with the flash.

I attempted to make a spider and smushed all the glue, when I mashed it up I had to use a little of the Trippie Hippie to outline it.

This was an ant..a very pretty ant...hehe. this one came out a little better, but not how I wanted it,, you get the idea.

See you later,
Kelly-Ann.

Rad Nomad

Hi everyone,

I really like the Color Club BOHO collection and I would really like to finish a complete swatch of the collection by the end of next week the latest.

Today I did Rad Nomad which is a beautiful dark purple/gray and in dim light will look a little dark brown but still have a hue of purple.

It went on very smooth, it took 2 coats to go on fully without any transparent areas.

I also took a picture of the bottle and my nails with the flash so you can see what I meant by the different colours.

I hope you will like this collection as much as I do.

Also I wanted to announce my first give away is coming up, I am going to start it May 1st, I will show you what the prizes will be in another post tomorrow.

See you later,
Kelly-Ann.

Video Haul: Michael's, Dollar Tree, Ross, Sally's, Kroger, and Amazon

Hi everyone,

I did a haul recently and I decided to do a video of it to show you what I got. I apologize for my hair in advance, it has a mind of its own and it just gets worse throughout the video. In my defense it was 2am when I did this video.

And a correction: the Sally Hansen nailgrowth miracle actually cost me $5 not $7 dollars from Kroger with the coupon.

I hope you enjoy my first video. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and also I wanted to do an introduction video so you can "meet" me, so if you have any personal questions feel free to ask and if I can answer it I will.

Enjoy the video,
Kelly-Ann.

Nomadic in Nude

Hello lovelies,

Just wanted to show you the colour I have on now. I just love this colour, It is called Nomadic in Nude and it is from the BOHO collection by Color Club.

This is the same colour taken with the flash so you can see what it looks like in harsh light.

It is just a simply beautiful colour.

Hope you love this colour as much as I do.

See you tomorrow,
Kelly-Ann.

China Glaze Hunger games collection:

Beauty secrets base coat
Beauty Secrets Acetone

Oh So Wet top coat

I have already used the top coat, base coat and the new acetone (not pictured here). The base coat seems to go on nicely, so does the top coat which is quick dry that I did notice worked well, but when it came to having that wet look I wanted it did not live up my expectations at all but a good buy nonetheless.

When I did my nails after I bought the new acetone I was using my old acetone (Equate Acetone I bought in Wal-Mart) to clean up at first and I had found that my brush was getting stiff and sticky no matter how I wiped and soaked it in the acetone I had, then something in my mind told me to try the new one, and when I did, OH MY! what a difference it made. It was as if the stickiness and stiffness dissolved. On top of that it cleaned so easily and smelt better then my other acetone.

Hope you enjoyed my rant and spending,
Kelly-Ann.
