Cosmic Sponging

I know! 2 days in a row! :p

Hi everyone!

Today I tried out sponging for the 3rd time and this is the first successful attempt, it wasn't a gradient but I like it. :D

I tried to accomplish a spacey kind of look. Everything else came out good except the stamping in my opinion. Let me know if you liked the stamp or not.

Tools:

  • Konad stamper & Scraper
  • EBay plate m39
  • Simple Pleasures white polish
  • Sally Hansen: Celeb City
  • Kleancolor: Pearl Pink
  • Kleancolor: White
  • Spoiled: Checkin' Into Rehab
  • Sinful Colors: Let Me Go

Ready! Set! Go!

The Base colour was Spoiled: Checkin' Into Rehab, which I applied 2 coats of, which still ends up being a translucent but dark enough. It is a very lovely colour. I plan on wearing it on its own very soon.

I then sponged it with the Pearl Pink, and the Simple Pleasure white polish. (The reason I had used simple pleasures is because it is a very thin polish and I didn't want it heavy like the Kleancolor White polish.)

Next I used Sinful Colors Let Me Go, which is a very psychedelic polish, fairly transparent that a little shows through, but still too heavy to leave alone for what I wanted.

Sooo... I sponged again one more time and I think it was the topping on the cake.

I then stamped with the design that I thought would have looked good, but I was not too happy with the way it came out. I used a mixture of Celeb City and Kleancolor White to stamp. Top coat and finished!

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. ;-)

P.S. Don't forget to enter my GIVEAWAY!

See you later,
Kelly-Ann.

Video Haul: Michael's, Dollar Tree, Ross, Sally's, Kroger, and Amazon

Hi everyone,

I did a haul recently and I decided to do a video of it to show you what I got. I apologize for my hair in advance, it has a mind of its own and it just gets worse throughout the video. In my defense it was 2am when I did this video.

And a correction: the Sally Hansen nailgrowth miracle actually cost me $5 not $7 dollars from Kroger with the coupon.

I hope you enjoy my first video. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and also I wanted to do an introduction video so you can "meet" me, so if you have any personal questions feel free to ask and if I can answer it I will.

Enjoy the video,
Kelly-Ann.

Luck of the Irish

Howdy yall!

I know I'm late with posting this but I honestly haven't had the time. But now it's here and that's all that matters...right? :-D

Okay, so I did an Irish theme for St. Patrick's Day, and I thought it came out pretty good.

Tools:
  • Sally Hansen: Hard as Nails Hardener Clear
  • Shades of the Season: Clear
  • Shades of the Season: Green Glitter
  • Kleancolor Nail to Toe: Popping Green
  • NYC: High Line Green
  • Rimmel French Manicure Pro: French Lingerie
  • Bundle Monster Plate: BM03
I liked the way this looked on its own but I figured I'd continue with the original idea and do a little more. add some glitter and pizzazz! Hehe (NYC High Line Green for tips)

So I added the design from Bundle Monster Plate design (BM03) (Kleancolor Popping green for design). Wait for everything to dry well and applied the Green Glitter to all green areas.

I Hope you enjoyed this design as much as I did.

See you next time,
Kelly-Ann.

Silver Has Fun

Howdy yall!

Today I did something simple pattern with a number of colours with the base colour  being the same silver I have on my fingers (I really do love that silver).

Tools:
  • Kleancolor: Cobalt
  • Kleancolor: Neon Aqua
  • Kleancolor: Metallic Pink
  • Kleancolor: Silver
  • Sally Hansen: Hard as Nails Hardener
  • Shades of the Season: Clear
  • EBay Fauxnad Plates: m63 & m12
  • Konad Stamp

As you can see the pattern is pretty, but also my clean-up method is really no method at all besides when I shower it washes off. I give up the whole clean-up thing. HA!
I used the Cobalt and Neon Aqua for the first pattern and the Metallic Pink for the second. I like using the Kleancolor brand to stamp, but the Cobalt colour is very translucent and doesn't show up as bright as I'd like it to. Still like the design though, hope you do too.

Love you lots,
Kelly-Ann.

Every Black Flower has a Silver Lining

Hi everyone!

Today I tried something a little different. I've never used stamping on every finger before because I find it difficult, but it didn't turn out too bad. I am going to attempt again one day soon. But for now here is my first attempt at stamping every finger.

Tools:

  • Kleancolor: Black
  • Kleancolor: Silver
  • Sally Hansen: Hard as Nails Hardener
  • Shades of The Season: Clear
  • Mash double sided stamper
  • EBay Fauxnad Plate: m57

Honestly I love this colour, I think it is so beautiful by itself.

Well as you can see i didn't exactly put the pattern on properly, but it came out pretty well. What I did was use the ends of the patterns and placed them in the corners. On some of my fingers I did not line it up well.

All in all it was pretty nice and hasn't started chipping yet.
Until next time...

Princess Pink Nails

When I first did this I was soooooo proud of them. I just thought they were extremely pretty, after 1 day I began to get tired of them and rubbed them off. But they were still nice. I ended up going almost a week without doing my nails.

Tools:

  • Sally Hansen: Tough Chick
  • Shades of the Season: Silver Glitter
  • Shades of the Season: Clear
  • Sally Hansen: Hard As Nails Hardener

This is such a beautiful colour. Lovely pink. Only required 1-2 coats.

This picture was taken with a flash.

This one was taken in natural light, which looks a lot better than with the flash.

They are (left to right):

Mercury Vines

Howdy yall!

I am very excited about my nails tonight, I love the colours and the design. I hope you all are as excited as I am. And can you imagine I almost did not do anything on my nails for the rest of the week. It took me a while to decide what to do. But... here it is

Ok this week I am going to try and change my layout and not do the numbered step by step thing. Also I made the decision to throw out my Sally Hansen: Hard as Nails Clear because I have grown to dislike it, and I have decided to use my Shades of The Season Clear.

Tools:

  • Konad nail stamp
  • Sally Hansen: Hard As Nails Hardener
  • Shades of The Season: Clear
  • Sinful Colors: Mercury Rising
  • Shades of The Season: Glitter Green
  • Kleancolor: Nail to Toe Copycat Hater
  • Bundle Monster: Plate BM03

Steps:

After applying the beautiful Mercury Rising colour I had added the glitter green tips (a sudden decision). It was an awesome decision in my opinion, it complimented it so well.

When the tips dried I used my Bundle Monster plate and add the stamp with the Copycat Hater, Which also was a wonderful contrast from the base colour and the glitter.

Add clear top coat and as usual clean up as necessary. In my case clean as much as I can without messing up everything. (Which is still not so great). I really hope you enjoyed this design.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to follow my blog.

See you next time,
Kelly-Ann.

Review: Sally Hansen: Hard as Nails Clear

Okay so I've been using the Sally Hansen: Hard AS Nails Clear for a while now and honestly I do not like it. At first it is great but after using it 10 times it gets thicker and thicker, and I have never had to add thinner to any of my top coats. It doesn't spread well, if I want it to spread evenly and smoothly then I have to glob it on (I think that is a waste). It takes forever to dry. I do not think I will be buying this again. The next one I'm going to use is the Shades of The Season one that came in the collection and then the Essie which I am anxious to try.

See you all next time!
Kelly-Ann.

  • Sally Hansen: Hard as Nails Hardener
  • Kiss: Beach Pink
  • Kiss: Soft Purple
  • Rhinestones
  • Mash Plate: m60
  • Konad Stamper

Pink Night

Howdy partners!!

Just did my toes and I thought I would share. My toes are funny lookin' so don't make fun of them :-p
This pattern is very bright and fun. When you see the finished product please excuse the fact I still cannot clean up properly without messing everything up. Here it goes...

Tools:

  • Sally Hansen: Hard As Nails Clear
  • Sally Hansen: Hard As Nails Hardener
  • Kleancolor: Sheer Lilac
  • Kleancolor: Metallic Yellow
  • Flirt: Tingling Fruit
  • MASH stamper
  • Mash Nail Plate: Mash-08
  • EBay Nail Plate: M06

Steps:
  1. Apply Base coat
  2. Apply 1 or 2 layers of base color (Tingling Fruit)
  3. Wait until base color dries properly then apply the first pattern (Sheer lilac stars)

     4.  When the first pattern dries apply the second pattern (Metallic Yellow bubbles)

     5.  When the second pattern dries apply top coat
     6.  Clean up as needed.
(Please excuse my sad attempt at trying to clean up)

I hope you liked my little idea.
See you when I see ya,
Kelly-Ann.
