Nude Dots

Hey everyone,

I feel very happy about my nails today, I tried do do a nude nail french tip thing with dots.

I am going to make this quick because my computer is dying and for some reason the power jack isn't working so this might be my last post for a while.

Tools:

• Color Club: Nomadic in Nude
• Color Club: Earthy Angel
• Kleancolor: White
• MASH dotting tool

The following pictures are with regular indoor light and the other with florescent light.

First I applied the base colour which was Nomadic in Nude. I didn't realize how streaky it was until I was done, but it's not noticeable. 

 I then I added the white dots using my small dotting tool at the top of my nails.

I then added the brown dots using Earthy Angel at the top of my nail yet again filling in some of the spaces, making it a more defined looking tip.

Cosmic Sponging

I know! 2 days in a row! :p

Hi everyone!

Today I tried out sponging for the 3rd time and this is the first successful attempt, it wasn't a gradient but I like it. :D

I tried to accomplish a spacey kind of look. Everything else came out good except the stamping in my opinion. Let me know if you liked the stamp or not.

• Simple Pleasures white polish
• Sally Hansen: Celeb City
• Kleancolor: Pearl Pink
• Kleancolor: White
• Spoiled: Checkin' Into Rehab
• Sinful Colors: Let Me Go

Ready! Set! Go!

The Base colour was Spoiled: Checkin' Into Rehab, which I applied 2 coats of, which still ends up being a translucent but dark enough. It is a very lovely colour. I plan on wearing it on its own very soon.

I then sponged it with the Pearl Pink, and the Simple Pleasure white polish. (The reason I had used simple pleasures is because it is a very thin polish and I didn't want it heavy like the Kleancolor White polish.)

Next I used Sinful Colors Let Me Go, which is a very psychedelic polish, fairly transparent that a little shows through, but still too heavy to leave alone for what I wanted.

Sooo... I sponged again one more time and I think it was the topping on the cake.

I then stamped with the design that I thought would have looked good, but I was not too happy with the way it came out. I used a mixture of Celeb City and Kleancolor White to stamp. Top coat and finished!

Spring Challenge 3: Fruits and Dots

Hi everyone,

I am so sorry I'm late with this, I was in the process of moving from one apartment to the other, and I had some school assignments due so those had to be priority. To make up for my lateness I had done 3 things for you: This challenge, a look at a colour I had previously purchased, and also a video haul. Of course they will be separate posts and they won't all be chucked up in this one post. 

Anyway, without further a due here is Challenge 3: Fruits and Dots. The colours I had chosen was yellow and green. I honestly did not like the way they turned out, so I ended up rubbing them off afterward. I was also rushing so please excuse if I didn't clean up my nails.

Tools:

• MASH dotting tool
• Bundle Monster plate BM04
• EBay plate m30
• Kleancolor: Popping Green
• Kleancolor: Black
• Milani: Yellow Whiz
• Rimmel: French Lingerie

And it Begins...

I first did a single coat of Rimmel's French Lingerie

Then added so dots using the Yellow Whiz at the top and The Popping Green at the bottom.

Then I added another layer of the French Lingerie just to lightly show the dots through.

Then I added more dots on top of that layer being careful not to really cover the underlying dots.

Then lastly, I added my fruit stamps in the Black. I honestly did not like the way it turned out, and you could probably see I tried it with the white stamp at first but that didn't work out too well.

Spring Challenge 2: Flowers and Stripes

HI everybody!

So excited about today's submission for the Spring Challenge by Purple Glitters. This challenge was stripes and flowers and the colour combination I chose was pink and green.

I really hope you like what I came up with.

Tools:

• NYC: High Line Green
• Kleancolor: Popping Green
• Milani Jewel FX: Fuchsia
• Wet n' Wild: Dreamy Poppy
• MASH dotting tool

HEre is the base colour which is the NYC High Line Green. And please excuse the smudge on my thumb that you will see throughout. :-D

Next I used the Kleancolor Popping green on 2 fingers.

Added the Milani Fuchsia... not too sure if I had liked it at first but in the final product I fell in love with it.

HEre is the finished product, which you can see I added the tiny flowers using my MASH dotting tool witht he colour Dreamy Poppy by Wet n' Wild.

HEre is the final product with the flash (which makes me look extra white...ugh)

I am soooo happy with the way this turned out. I hope you enjoyed this as much I did.

Spring Toes

Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry that I haven't done anything lately, I'm trying to keep my finger nails clean until the 14th for the Spring Challenge by Purple Glitters. I'm so excited about it. But anyway, while leaving my nails clean it was time for my toes to get a little attention. 

I did the same patern I had on my fingers last time but with more spring colours. I really love this pattern.

Tools:

• Milani: Yellow Whiz 
• Kleancolor: Neon Aqua (The blue colour)
• Shades of the Season: Powder Pink
• Revlon: Sassy (green dots)
• Confetti: Centerstage (the base colour purple)

I really love this purple, it is so smooth and shimmers in the light.

Feeling Patriotic

Hello lovelies,

I really like my nails today, when I did this I was feeling very patriotic. As many of you would know I am Jamaican and you already know what colours this is going to involve. I was inspired by Nail Polish War's 'For Your En-Zoya-Ment'. Great nail artist to follow.

Here are the tools I used:

Kleancolor: Black

Kiss Nail Art Paint: Gold Glitter

NYC: High Line Green

Milani: Yellow Whiz

Hard Candy: Matte-ly In Love top coat

Beauty Secrets: Base coat

MASH dotting tool

First of all I hate cleaning up black nail polish (Kleancolor: Black). The first picture is what it looks like before I clean up...or my attempt to clean up HA!

Then I add the yellow dots (Milani: Yellow Whiz) using both sides of the dotting tool just to get different sizes.

I then repeated the same thing except with the NYC : High Line Green.

Even though that completed the flag colours, it felt incomplete, so I decided to use some gold glitter to put some real gold in it (the colours are after all really black, green and gold). 

I decided to try my new Hard Candy: Matte-ly In Love matte top coat and I must say I do love how it came out. However I guess I didn't really wait long enough for the dots to dry and some of the dots dragged just a little bit but not noticeably that I had to rub it off. 

So I guess my one advice is to let it dry a little longer to ensure it is completely dry before applying the top coat.

Red Heart

Hi everyone,

As I said in my previous post I will be keeping it simple over the next couple weeks, mostly doing swatches and maybe the occasional simple stamp on a finger or two. But this doesn't go for my toes, so those will still be coming up.

I have also gotten better with cleaning up my nails and even better with real acetone...anyway I will elaborate on that in my next post pointing out the differences I saw.

To day I used Kleancolor: Red Heart.

I loved this colour, it is so radiant. However, I did find it a little hard to clean up, hence the reason it looks a little untidy.

I really do like this colour, which is strange for me because I don't normally like red on my nails.

Luck of the Irish

Howdy yall!

 I know I'm late with posting this but I honestly haven't had the time. But now it's here and that's all that matters...right? :-D

Okay, so I did an Irish theme for St. Patrick's Day, and I thought it came out pretty good.

Tools:

• Sally Hansen: Hard as Nails Hardener Clear
• Shades of the Season: Clear
• Shades of the Season: Green Glitter
• Kleancolor Nail to Toe: Popping Green
• NYC: High Line Green
• Rimmel French Manicure Pro: French Lingerie 
• Bundle Monster Plate: BM03

I liked the way this looked on its own but I figured I'd continue with the original idea and do a little more. add some glitter and pizzazz! Hehe (NYC High Line Green for tips)

So I added the design from Bundle Monster Plate design (BM03) (Kleancolor Popping green for design). Wait for everything to dry well and applied the Green Glitter to all green areas.

Silver Has Fun

Howdy yall!

Today I did something simple pattern with a number of colours with the base colour  being the same silver I have on my fingers (I really do love that silver).

Tools:

• Kleancolor: Cobalt
• Kleancolor: Neon Aqua
• Kleancolor: Metallic Pink
• Kleancolor: Silver
• Sally Hansen: Hard as Nails Hardener
• Shades of the Season: Clear
• EBay Fauxnad Plates: m63 & m12
• Konad Stamp

As you can see the pattern is pretty, but also my clean-up method is really no method at all besides when I shower it washes off. I give up the whole clean-up thing. HA!

I used the Cobalt and Neon Aqua for the first pattern and the Metallic Pink for the second. I like using the Kleancolor brand to stamp, but the Cobalt colour is very translucent and doesn't show up as bright as I'd like it to. Still like the design though, hope you do too.
