Advice from Followers & Other News

Hi everyone,

I have been working on a new site that incorporates my nail art, fashion, and the occasional beauty tips and reviews. So at some point I will be asking if you could kindly follow that site rather than this one. But anyway, I am almost through with it and the only problem i'm having is coming up with a name. It would have to be something.kellyannhosang.com . I would appreciate some help with this, any suggestions?

I've come up with a few options so far:

  • StyleAndHappenings.kellyannhosang.com
  • StyleHub.kellyannhosang.com
  • BeingGirly.kellyannhosang.com
  • FaultLineFashion.kellyannhosang.com
In other news, the GiveAway has ended and I am going through all the entries to ensure everything is legit, then I will make the draw and announce the winner. Good luck!

Also, I want to apologize that I haven't posted anything new lately. My computer was sent to be repaired, I should get it back by next week, and I will have a few posts to put up, because I still have been taking pictures.

See ya later,
Kelly-Ann.

Nude Dots

Hey everyone,

I feel very happy about my nails today, I tried do do a nude nail french tip thing with dots.

I am going to make this quick because my computer is dying and for some reason the power jack isn't working so this might be my last post for a while.

Tools:

  • Color Club: Nomadic in Nude
  • Color Club: Earthy Angel
  • Kleancolor: White
  • MASH dotting tool

The following pictures are with regular indoor light and the other with florescent light.

First I applied the base colour which was Nomadic in Nude. I didn't realize how streaky it was until I was done, but it's not noticeable.

I then I added the white dots using my small dotting tool at the top of my nails.

I then added the brown dots using Earthy Angel at the top of my nail yet again filling in some of the spaces, making it a more defined looking tip.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Ta-ta for now,
Kelly-Ann.

Haul me away...hehe

Hi peoples,

I did a small haul the other day. I went to Sally's to buy some acetone and saw that the Magnetix line by China Glaze was on sale, so I grabbed up 2 along with a magnet.

As you can see by the price tag I got them for $3.29 each.
the colours are 'You Move Me' and 'Drawn to You', in that order.

I tested them out on the nail wheel. They are very pretty and goes on smoothly. The magnetic designs are very nice except for the star pattern did not come out well.

I also stopped at Walgreens as well and picked this cute Wet n' Wild set for $3.99, I was thinking about keeping it for myself but I decided to give it to you guys in next months give away, which I thought was a great way to bring in the summer.

Hope you like the stuff I got :)

Cosmic Sponging

I know! 2 days in a row! :p

Hi everyone!

Today I tried out sponging for the 3rd time and this is the first successful attempt, it wasn't a gradient but I like it. :D

I tried to accomplish a spacey kind of look. Everything else came out good except the stamping in my opinion. Let me know if you liked the stamp or not.

Tools:

  • Konad stamper & Scraper
  • EBay plate m39
  • Simple Pleasures white polish
  • Sally Hansen: Celeb City
  • Kleancolor: Pearl Pink
  • Kleancolor: White
  • Spoiled: Checkin' Into Rehab
  • Sinful Colors: Let Me Go

Ready! Set! Go!

The Base colour was Spoiled: Checkin' Into Rehab, which I applied 2 coats of, which still ends up being a translucent but dark enough. It is a very lovely colour. I plan on wearing it on its own very soon.

I then sponged it with the Pearl Pink, and the Simple Pleasure white polish. (The reason I had used simple pleasures is because it is a very thin polish and I didn't want it heavy like the Kleancolor White polish.)

Next I used Sinful Colors Let Me Go, which is a very psychedelic polish, fairly transparent that a little shows through, but still too heavy to leave alone for what I wanted.

Sooo... I sponged again one more time and I think it was the topping on the cake.

I then stamped with the design that I thought would have looked good, but I was not too happy with the way it came out. I used a mixture of Celeb City and Kleancolor White to stamp. Top coat and finished!

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. ;-)

See you later,
Kelly-Ann.

I love GOLD...and purple!

Hello ladies,

Well, I did my toes that have been naked maybe 3 weeks because I had hit my toe and the nail went down down down, it still looks awkward which is why I had chosen a colour that might not be too noticeable.

Like I said I did my toes but not very well, by the time I was done and went into proper light I realized my toes had ridges and I messed up the polish a bit. I hope you like the design minus the mistakes I made due to terrible lighting in my living room.

Tools:

  • Konad scraper & stamper
  • Gems
  • EBay nail plat M64
  • Maybelline Color Show: Bold Gold
  • Wet n' Wild: Buffy the Violet Slayer

So on to it then!

Ok, here is Le base color which is the Bold Gold, This a very pretty colour but I think it goes on a little tiny bit streaky at first but after it dries it doesn't look that way.

Added the pattern using the Buffy the Violet Slayer which smudged when I stamped it, but it only happened on this toe, it might have been my fault, I may not have scraped it properly.

I then added 4 gems one on each of the 3 dots and one in the middle of the flower, which looked really great, but unfortunatly I added my top coat a little too soon and it smeared my stamp. I always do that, it's like I get anxious and just add the top coat.

Anyway, regardless of my mistakes I hope you enjoyed this post :-)

See you next time,
Kelly-Ann.
